The Center for Molecular Transformations supports the chairs of chemistry, biology and process engineering in the preparation, conception and preparation of joint project applications. The integration into numerous working groups and networks allows us to bring together optimally established consortia.
By combining scientific expertise with project management skills, the Center for Molecular Transformations has the ideal prerequisites to successfully attract and handle large, coordinated third-party funded projects. In addition to the application phase, we are often involved in or even mainly responsible for the administration of running projects.
The topics are closely linked to the profile area Molecular Science and Engineering. The thematic focus is on sustainable methods and processes for molecular transformations, as well as on positive contributions from the use of alternative carbon sources, e.g. biomass and CO2. For this purposes, a system-level approach is adopted and catalysis research is combined and integrated with chemical and biological methods as well as process engineering.
